Bring your own boat, launch at the local boat launch, and dock at the dock on site. Or, just bring your own fishing gear to fish off the dock, or from the 2 single person kayaks available for use.
Additional kayaks & canoes can be rented from Lake St. Peter Provincial Park, just steps away from the cottage.
Don’t forget to bring marshmallows & hotdogs for a cookout over the fire in the lakeside firepit. Or, grill up your favourite food on the propane BBQ.
Maynooth is a quaint town just 16 km south of the cottage. The main street has art studios, antique stores, and most importantly an LCBO.
For some “big city” action, Bancroft is only 40 km south of the cottage. Check out the tourist & specialty shops, The Mining Museum and the rock farm...It's a thing!
World-renowned Algonquin Park is only 34 km north of the cottage. The Visitor’s Centre has a great lookout, but there are too many activities to list here so check out their website.
Lake St. Peter Provincial Park is a 2-minute walk away and has a large public beach, wonderful hiking trails, a coin-operated laundromat, and a small general store. There is no need for a day permit, as long as you don’t bring your car. Check out their website.
Bring your ATV or dirtbike, and ride some of the miles of trails that go right past Lake St. Peter.
